The Carrying Circle

A shared question for this season:

What are you carrying right now that feels heavier than it should—and what might it look like to no longer carry it alone?

“Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”

Galatians 6:2 ESV

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

Matthew 11:28-30 NLT

A prayer for the Carrying Circle:

God who sees what is often unseen,
we come carrying responsibilities, expectations, and concerns
that rarely have a place to rest.

Some of what we carry is visible.
Much of it is quiet, unnamed, and assumed to be ours alone.

Teach us to recognize what was never meant to be borne in isolation.
Give us courage to set down what we cannot sustain by ourselves,
and wisdom to carry faithfully what truly belongs to us.

As we hold this question together,
remind us that shared presence itself can lighten a load.
We do not need solutions or certainty here—
only the grace of being seen, accompanied, and held.

Meet us in this place with gentleness.
Receive what we name, and what we cannot yet put into words.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen.

About this Circle

This Circle exists as a shared space for naming the weight leaders often carry quietly. It is held so that responsibilities, concerns, and pressures do not remain invisible or borne alone.

You are welcome to name a brief prayer or reflection when it feels right, or simply to return and remember that others are carrying alongside you. There is no expectation to explain, resolve, or disclose more than you wish.

This Circle is held in the belief that shared presence itself can lighten what feels heavy.

This is a seasonal Circle held within Streams. Participation is always optional, and presence takes many forms.
