Thanks to all who prayed for my visit today to the community residency center for formerly incarcerated men. The room was packed with about 25 men. They were some of the most gracious and attentive guys I’ve spoken to in a long time. Plus, they sung and clapped enthusiastically to my songs, even though most didn’t know them. I spoke on how to hit the target of daily worship and how God’s mercies are new every morning. They soaked it up like sponges and then broke into small groups and talked about how to apply what they learned. It was such an encouragement and blessing for me to be around this group. These guys understand sin and appreciate God’s mercy in a deep and personal way. The reality is, if not for the grace of God, there goes all of us. God is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. He can save us and restore us–regardless of what we’ve done. PTL!
