A pastor friend encouraged me by something he said when we met for lunch the other day. He said, “I don’t look at tithing just as something people have to do. And I don’t assume they will give out of obligation alone. Instead, I try to make sure we remain a worthwhile investment of their money. They need to know we will invest their gifts well to advance the Kingdom.” Then he said, “Dwayne, NLW International is a worthwhile investment. People should want to donate to you because you’re advancing the Kingdom.” I needed to hear that.
