Holy Wednesday — A Heart That Chooses Faithfulness

“Then one of the Twelve—the one called Judas Iscariot—went to the chief priests and asked, ‘What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him over to you?’”
— Matthew 26:14–15

Holy Wednesday is often remembered as the day Judas chose betrayal. It reminds us that every day we face choices—some small, some life-changing. Judas walked closely with Jesus, yet allowed greed and disappointment to take root in his heart.

This day invites us to examine our own hearts. Are there places where we are drifting, compromising, or holding back from full obedience? God calls us not just to follow Him outwardly, but to remain faithful inwardly.

The good news is that God always offers grace and the opportunity to turn back to Him. Faithfulness begins with surrender.

Prayer:
Lord, search my heart and reveal anything that pulls me away from You. Help me choose faithfulness in my thoughts, words, and actions. Strengthen my love for You and guide me to walk in Your truth each day.
