I was sent this from Revelation Wellness and totally would do this with this group if we were in person! In the meantime, see how you can incorporate some of this fun with your family or friends!
Wanna add a little Easter fun to your classes? Here’s a few ways:
1. Partner Egg Hunt Challenge –
Fill 50 plastic Easter eggs with exercises and reps printed out and place inside. Spread all the eggs out and get creative with where you place them but don’t hide them too well! Participants should partner up. Each pair needs a small basket or bag to put eggs in. After a 5 minute warm-up, begin the egg hunt. The partners work together, finding one egg at a time and completing the exercise inside. The first pair to collect 10 eggs and complete all the exercises wins! (This should take about 10-15 minutes.) You could do a prize if you want like an Easter candy or a bookmark with scripture…etc.
Exercises to place in eggs:
• 30 sec High Knees
• 30 Squats
• 25 Jumping Jacks
• 10 Lat Lunges each side
• 30 sec Mt Climbers
• 25 Push Ups
• 25 Superman lifts
• 30 second plank
• 30 skaters
• 10 back lunges each side
• 25 tricep dips
• 25 glute bridges
• 30 arm circles
• REST (place scripture inside)
2. Easter Egg Toss Game-
This is a fun Easter fitness game and community builder for your class. Divide your class into 2 teams. Set up 2 large containers (such as a plastic bin) on one side of the room and have each team stand on the opposite side of the room in line with their container. Each team has a basket filled with plastic eggs. Turn on some fun music, set a timer for 5 minutes and say on your mark’s, get set, go! Team members take turns attempting to toss the eggs across the room into their containers. After team members empty their basket, they can run down and collect any eggs that land on the floor, then run back to the other side of the room to attempt tossing them in again. The team with the most eggs in their container at the end of the time limit wins! To make this workout more challenging, you can have your clients do a different exercise, such as 2 jumping jacks or 1 burpee before each toss.
3. Easter Egg Scripture & Treat Cool Down-
Have a basket filled with plastic eggs. Print several gospel scriptures or scripture spoken from Jesus and place one in each egg along with an Easter treat/chocolate. Pass the basket around during the cool down so each participant gets an egg and allow time during the cool down for them to ponder their scripture.
P.S. I probably wouldn’t do all three of these in one class, but maybe select one or two. If you did all three, you would have to buy a lot of plastic eggs! Also, please modify these ideas in any way that best fits your class.
I hope you have fun with these Easter class ideas!
