    Putting God first is the first commandment and is so important in our lives and in our relationship with the Father. We can often think about food or our bodies more often than we think of Him. We can become obsessed with food, and on the flip side, we can become obsessed with the way we look and how much we put into toning and correcting our bodies. When we put anything above the Lord, that is idolatry. Let’s take steps today to live healthy and whole, putting God first in our minds, while taking steps toward healthy living. Let’s all list one way you feel you can take a step in this direction.

    I will start us off. Let’s try taking the time to pray before each meal (including snacks!). This puts God first and can quiet our minds and hearts before we do any mindless eating.

    Praying before meals is natural for me but not before snacks. And snacks (chocolate a.s.o.) are my meanest problems.
