Group Guidelines for Streams
Streams welcomes groups that support connection, encouragement, and shared presence among leaders. To help protect the spirit of this space, we ask that all groups follow a few simple guidelines.
1. Groups Honor Our Shared Commitments
All groups on Streams are expected to honor the three guiding questions members agree to when they register.
These questions shape how we listen, speak, and care for one another. Groups should reflect this same posture of humility, respect, and faithfulness.
2. Groups Are Reviewed Before Becoming Public
To ensure alignment and clarity, all groups must be reviewed and approved before they are made public on Streams.
This review is not about control or quality—it exists to:
- protect the tone of the community
- ensure groups fit the purpose of Streams
- help groups start well and clearly
3. Groups Are Stewarded by a Group Leader
Every group must have a named group leader who agrees to tend and steward the space.
A group leader’s role is not to teach or manage participation, but to:
- hold the group’s purpose clearly
- protect a respectful and gracious tone
- ensure the group remains aligned with Streams’ values
Groups work best when someone is gently holding the space.
A Final Word
Streams groups exist to serve people, not to create pressure or performance. Groups may be active for a season, rest for a time, or conclude when their purpose has been fulfilled.
If you’re unsure whether a group idea fits Streams, we’re always glad to help you discern next steps.
