Trust
Trust between men depends on both of the two. It is not helpful to claim trust from another. Trust is growing as much as the other trusts you and vice versa.
There a church leaderships who only offer the members small windows of decision. Let me clarify what I mean by an example: If there is a cleaning day in the church (often in spring) an there is an invitation from another church for a good topic. Some would say: we shouldn’t post that invitation because the people will go there and we won’t have enough people to clean the church that day. It’s distrust. They are thinking the members are not able to make spiritual decisions. We have to decide for them. But how can those members ever lean to make spiritual decisions?
Other church leadership would say: The members too have the Holy Spirit. We trust them to make a good decision on it. If nessecary we can support in this process.
What do you think: which eldestchips are trusted more of the both? Which church members grow more in spiritual decisions?
Between God and us that’s different: God knows who we are we wretches. He doesn’t need to trust us. He knows us. Nevertheless he says: Trust me. I will always and ever be trustful. Isn’t that amazing?

This is GOOD! I have seen so many churches trying to control the narrative by making sure the congregation didn’t go to other churches or church events because they wanted to keep them (and their money) tight with their own church. A good reminder that if we are leading well, the people will be able to listen to the Holy Spirit in their decisions. Praise the Lord HE is always faithful and trustworthy!

I agree with Jenn! There is plenty of “pie” to go around. Supporting other churches and their events is healthy and wonderful for the Body of Christ as we work together to build His Kingdom.
At the same time, I can understand why church leaders may be hesitant at times to share about other events happening at the same day and time. Church members tend to follow the influence of their pastor and leaders, and sharing publicly about two simultaneously events (whether within or outside their own church) can be confusing to members.1
