Got a sweet email from one of our Monday Motivation email subscribers who read my devotional yesterday on “Praise out of Anguish.” She wrote, “I really needed to see that subject line, Praise out of Anguish. [My husband] has been in hospice care…God has certainly placed much pain in our lives these last 14 months, and we have tried desperately to keep our eyes fixed on the Lord, and yes, praise on our lips–to be a good witness no matter…Your words encouraged me this morning. So I took a barefoot walk in the grass, absorbed some sun on the porch…As I sat there, I sang a couple songs–My Tribute. “How can say thanks for the things you have done for me, things so undeserved…” And then I sang, It is Well with my Soul. It is well, although I still have a cancer battle ahead of me, but so very much to be thankful for…”
