Our story and journey in life and ministry encourage and strengthen our others

Hello!
My name is Jennifer Landrum, but I go by Jenn. I am a child of the King, who loves Jesus more than anything!! I was born in Colorado and grew up with my Mom and Dad and brother. When I left for University, I met my husband Dave and we got married in 2003 and moved to Florida to teach at a middle school. We really grew close to one another and closer to God as it was just us, away from all family and friends. We felt that teaching was our ministry and loved it. God led me to pursue my PhD in Education and I started working for Liberty University in the Special Education and in the Writing Departments. We had two children in Florida, and God was really tapping on our hearts to move to an area that needed to hear more about Him. We then moved to the Atlanta, GA area, where we taught and built-up strong friendships and relationships and were able to share more of Jesus. We had two children there and adopted a 5-year-old boy. God then called us to Seattle, where we felt it would be a bigger mission field, and it was!! Then, Covid hit, and we were all on lockdown, homeschooling our 5 kids for 2 years and teaching online. We prayed for where God wanted us, and He kept pointing to the UK. We thought that was crazy as we just “knew” people in the UK had a Christian background and the need for missionaries just couldn’t be there. However, we learned that people who know Jesus with a personal relationship and have accepted Him as Lord and Savior covers about 1% of the population. We knew God called us, and He called us more specifically to Scotland.
There are MANY details of how we got to Scotland and the ministries He has led us to, but that is for another time. To sum up what I am doing now, I am the crossing guard at the primary school, which is a crazy ministry in itself, getting to know the community and sharing Jesus with them in talks with the parents after drop off/pick up. I am tutoring at the universities in Glasgow and Edinburgh, working one-on-one with students and often having those faith-based conversations (they always ask what brought me here after they hear my accident and that leads to those talks on God every time). I have a fitness ministry where I teach a fitness class partnered with Revelation Wellness. I also volunteer at a local charity helping the elderly with their fitness goals. I work with women’s and children’s ministries in the community and with the churches. And now, I get to work with Next Level Worship with the Streams Community! It has been such a joy to get to know so many people from all around the world, to see how much they love the Lord and how they are called to ministry.

The key is to not get too comfortable being comfortable. To always be willing to let God move you!

You mention an “accident.” I don’t think we know about your accident. You don’t have to elaborate but we are now curious. 🙂

@dmoore HAHAHA!!! I totally said “accident!” Ha! Well, you are correct about the accent, but accident sounds WAY more intriguing!
